Hi all, sadwee na krap.
My Thai wife and I recently moved back to America after 3 great years in LOS. She has been here 4 months now and still does things that crack me up.
1.) I walked into the bathroom the other day and she was squatting on the toilet. A western toilet, she looked like a condor nesting her eggs about 2 feet off the floor. I died.
2.) The first day back, we had a big dinner with my parents and afterwards my mom was putting the dishs in the machine, and my wife asks, "what is dat?" I couldnt stop laughing but remembered she had never used one. She loves that one, and told her mom back in Phitzanoluk about this amazing machine. It was so cute hearing her marvel over this in thai.
3.) She still goes to the drivers side of my car whenever we go somewhere (everytime). I cant say anything because I did that to with our car in thailand.
4.) We live in LA and its nice weather all year long, but when it gets to be about 70 degrees (perfect to me) she is in a sweater and wrapped in a fleece blanket, "Tilac, cole (not cold) mak mak." I cant wait until we go back to my parents for christmas, she will need an eskimo suit, and its only Atlanta.
there are so many others, but I would enjoy hearing any funny stories that some of you may have.

Thanks anyway,
I forgot one. She is making 90$ a day at work her but refuses to pay 3$ for a day pass on the metro. Instead she will walk 2.5 miles to work. I did not know this and thought she was taking the metro to work.
When I found out I was like, what the F***, why are you walking, she said metro pang mak mak. I was like "do you think you make 90$ a day because things are cheap in america?"
after all this, she loves it here, why wouldnt you making 3600 baht a day, when she was making 6500baht a month in thailand.
Bring on some stories I know people have them.

thanks alot. I miss thailand alot, but when I was there I bitched about thaksin, tuk tuks and all, but I miss everything now.
I must say its nice to make the $$ here and live the lifestyle with a thai wife that we lived in thailand. I mean except for the car and rent we pretty much pay the same for everything else the same we paid in thailand.
wine is cheaper in cali. though.

I also forgot about the vacum cleaner, mine stood in awe of that one as well.
My wife is a nanny for a single mother that is a producer of a TV show. She is getting certified part time at a cosmotology school in california so she go back to her old job as a hair stylist. But she is actually really liking the kid that she takes care of and from what she tells me it sounds like an easy 90$ everyday.

i can remember the first time my wife arrived in the uk.
we was in the car travelling home from the airport, it was in febuary when there are no leaves on the trees as it's in the winter. my wife pointing to the trees and said " dear look all the trees die ".
i thought it would take me ages to explain why the trees don't have leaves so I just said "they die now but live again in 3 to 4 months", you should see her confused face.
about 1 month back, I thought I take my wife to see her first football game, she really enjoyed it and when we got back home to our local bar my family asked her what she thought of her first football game and she replied " it was good, I like when they all sing together, they sang ' what the f**k in hell was that' very loud".
priceless as my family could'nt stop laughing.
