No, she is suspisous because of an experience in Thailand. I had an apt in BKK and a house in Phuket.
I worked for italthai group and spent about 1 week a month in phuket. one time she flew to Phuket when I was on business and did not know she was coming.
I had girl from Laguna bar in Nai harn beach (where my house was) and she came in the house with a girl in the shower. It was not pretty and nai harn is a small town and word spread pretty fast.
I will always have that to pay for.

Hmmm
I just got back on China Air from LOS last night. Two weeks with the Thai wife in Chiang Mai as we wait for the visa. I spent too much and knew that all I had to do was fly over and the visa would be approved while I was gone. Sure enough it was approved and is in the Embassy in BKK being processed. Ironic but nice to have her here soon. 
My wife is eager to get over here to California and has promised me that she won't run over any chickens or buffalos with my car as she's never driven one before. I can't help but chuckle when I think about that.
Also I have had a hard time explaining my "Roomba" robotic vacuum cleaner to her over the phone I showed her a picture of it last week since I was there but I could see the cluelessness on her face as she told me she understood. This should provide me hours of amusement as it chases her around the house and then goes back to charge itself...

Back to "funny things Thai girls do in farangland".
Well here in Aus one of the popular brands of beer is "Tooheys', I was invited to a party and all the Thai girls kept saying "two heads" ???? It took quite a while for the penny to drop for me as to the reason for the name change....>>>> two hee's,,LOL

We drove from the east coast to the west coast, it took 4 days, and my wife dicovered her favorite food ever. It should be mentioned that we hit 4 or 5 very upscale restaurants in the weeks proir.
It started with a fast food drive thru, she asked "Tilac, what you do? when I ordered from the voice box. She let me order for her and proclaimed "Taco Bell" to be the best food she had every had in her life.
That was until the next stop which was "Arbys" and that quickly userped "Taco Bell" on her favorite food list.
For those who may not know "Taco Bell" its basically a cheap mexican fast food place that is a nice cheap gut fix, especially at 2am after a long night drinking.
I knew from 3 years of dating she was pretty thrifty when it came to spending $$, but what a relief her attitude hasnt changed back here in the states.
she has also discovered "Captain Crunch" cereal (we never had it in LOS) and eats it like its going out of style. I am always reminded when the cereal box is low. Twice a week when I am off to work I hear, "Tilac dont forget cap"ee"tan clunch...."
Fortunatley, she is only 44 kilo's and is in her early 30's, so I dont think our farang food will ever catch up with her butt and stomach. (knock on wood)

Great thread...
When we first got back here to Oz the Grapefruit tree in the backyard was loaded with fruit. She couldn't get over the fact that they were all ours - yes really, not share, just you and me - I got home from work a couple of days later and she had stripped the tree bare and we had about 50 grapefruit in buckets in the kitchen - she was worried someone else would get to them first.
Being a good Buddhist mostly she does not like killing things - snails that wreck her herb plants are the big exception ("shells" as she calls em) for them there is no place to hide - we go for a walk and she is stomping them a kilometre from our house - "now it not come to my plants!!!"

heres another one:
We are the states now, and my wife still will call me from her cell phone and hang up immediatly as my caller ID shows her phone number.
This is something she did when we lived in Thailand, especially because I always had money on my phone card and she would buy the 50baht cards.
This is funny to me because in America (we are backward ass on this) you pay the same amount when you recieve a call as you do when you call someone. I have told her this maybe 4 times, but I guess old habits die hard.

Ok,
someone just hit the 315 million dollor jackpot in california yesterday and my wife was on the phone with her mom for an hour going back and forth in thai.
If I hadnt known what they were talking about you would of figured someone had died.
My wife was literally angry because it was not her that won.

another funny story happened yesterday, something about Thailand I had all but forgotten about in the year since I moved back.
I get home from work and the wife is on the computer drinking a coke out of plastic bag with a straw.
That may sound strange since you see it a million times a day in Thailand, but you never ever see it in the states.
I smiled and asked why she didnt use a glass, "dirty, I put machine."
anyway, it was more cute than funny.

Let's just hope she never discovers the Big Mac diet, that 44 kilo's will be 88, as evidenced by some of the formerly small Thai ladies in BKK.
