Most and I say MOST people that get Hep C get it from drug use! sharing needles quickest way, snorting drugs, how well if you share the same bill and there is blood yea from the nose bleed, tattoo's blood transfusions pre 1990
Believe me nail clippers, metal hair bushes, razor blades, tooth brushes can pass on a small amount of blood if if the other party has whatever and you have a bit of bark missing (scratch) broken pimple etc Hello
One thing is that hep C will take 20 to 30 years to give you liver cancer, Hep B is the nasty one it kills quick if not treated and is picked up from dirty plates, glasses, chop sticks again the list is big.

So I went cold turkey 12 months not a drop try that after thirty years, then there was the worry that I may of infected my Darling Thai Wife, as I shave with a razor and bleed, my Wife being a Thai would use my razor to shave under her arms and legs and then there my my Beautiful little Boy,
They were tested and they were negative,Thank you Buddha!
Then I was approaching the 50 mark and I knew I would spend it BKK, so I said to the Doctor can I have a few Beers mate?
He said go ahead you eat well are not over weight and at your age it won't matter as you probably won't be around in 20 anyway when things start to fail.
So now I have a few beers and than I won't drink for a month or two, if you gunna go at least your got a smile on your dial.
But one thing the Doctor said when you get on it Don't take a couple of panadols the next day The panadol is worse than the beer, if hung over and keep away from Salt!
Fatty foods, with the salt one find a leach drop some salt on it see what happens than you might understand.
Also AMY Stress is NO go for people with this decease.
Funny when know you acquire one of these nasties many people RUN get away from me etc.
That's when you know who is a Friend.
Which is silly, I won't pass it on unless you hit me and My nose bleeds and I spit blood into your eyes.

Without addressing all of it, which is pointless (gotta give others some credit for knowing what's nonsense and what's not), rest assured that
-Hepatitis A can be transferred via food, but B only via blood and sex
-that "mosquitoes transmitting HIV" shit is one of the oldest--and most unfounded--myths regarding HIV in the book!! we always specifically address that one when doing HIV/AIDS awareness training with "poor uneducated Southeast Asians"...pretty scary when people from the West believe garbage like that too...

I just renewed my heb A and B vacinations I think if I got it right B is now for life and A for 25 yrs so until im pushing up the daisys or there abouts.
I got shots for my son of 9 as well at the same time.
Same thing A for 25 yrs and B for life.
There is no vacination against C and even though I had lots of rolled up notes in my nose in the 80s and 90 s
i was free of it last check up.
Heb C is high amongst gays so must be sexuallly transmitted.

New hope in fight against AIDS

LONDON: Researchers from the International Aids Vaccine Initiative (IAVI) have found two antibodies that kill the HIV virus, which may turn out to be a significant advance in the search for a vaccine against the virus that causes AIDS.
The discovery came from research launched by IAVI in 2006, to find antibodies that neutralise a wide variety of strains of HIV circulating in the world.
Blood from 1,800 HIV positive volunteers was analysed and screened for antibodies, according to a report by the Mozambican news agency (AIM).
Antibodies are protein molecules produced by the body to destroy toxins and pathogens. Each antibody only binds to the antigen that stimulated its production, so researchers have been looking for antibodies that attack a wide variety of HIV strains.
A major problem, according to IAVI, is that the HIV virus is the most mutable pathogen ever encountered by modern science. These changes enable the virus to avoid the human body's immune system, and pose the largest obstacle to researchers looking for a vaccine.
The two new antibodies are the first to be discovered in more than a decade, and are the first to be isolated from donors in developing countries. Before this discovery, researchers had found just four broadly neutralizing antibodies, which were linked to a strain of the HIV virus circulating mainly in the Americas, Europe and Australia.
According to Wayne Koff, senior vice president of research and development at IAVI "the findings are an exciting advance because now we've got a new, potentially better, target on HIV to focus our efforts for vaccine design".
The researchers will now study the antibodies to develop a vaccine.
They must find a harmless piece of the HIV virus, known as an immunogen, which will not cause infection but will stimulate the human body to produce one of these two antibodies. This would then be used as the basis for the vaccine.
In Mozambique the national prevalence of HIV is 16% of people aged between 15 and 49 years.
Worldwide, there are estimated to be 33 million people carrying the HIV virus, with 2 million dying each year from AIDS.

While it does seem to be the case that circumcised males are less at risk of contracting AIDS (although I am not sure of the % difference) it is also true that any operation carries some health risk,largely because of infection.
Thus current medical opinion is that circumcision should be avoided because of the risk of infection,but I do not think that Aids figured in arriving at this conclusion.
Currently AIDS seems to be more of a third world problem.In advanced economies condom use,and antiviral medication has lead to AIDS being regarded as largely preventable,or controllable.
So why should parents,other than for religious reasons, have their male children circumcised just to give them a somewhat better chance of avoiding contracting AIDS if they recklessly engage in unsafe sex.
