Jobs was a brilliant man but he was no angel. I did not post any of the several very critical articles of him out of respect for the dead.

I see that iDuck did not appreciate the statement of truth but that is to be expected when one speaks of another's God.... nonetheless forget the obits, they are not written as a historical record but for solace to the families of the dead.
Let's get down to brass tacks:
First Steve Jobs was an asshole, ask his partner who built APPLE with him and bailed because he could not stand the crap Jobs was putting out.
Secondly go into history and see why Jobs was fired from APPL in 1990 (thereabouts). He had different factions of the company pitted against each other and the investors would not stand for it anymore.
Thirdly look at Jobs return... it was Gates he turned to when he needing both money and a supporter to get Wall Street to finance his struggling company.
Albeit Jobs was a brilliant marketeer and a leader in design and style for consumer products and as he said to Gates 'Our Products are better than yours'.
However remember Gates' alleged response 'That is correct but it does not make a difference'
The scope of a man's life is not judged on his most recent achievements but on the achievements of his entire life.... let history be the judge, not today's newspapers...
