To me this debate is about how far ahead the Apple products are.....
There is no question they are.
It's like saying your only two miles ahead now instead of 3.
From what I know Apple holds 50% of the market and the others are sharing the rest.
It's hardly the end of the world for them.
Sure maybe their dominance is over.?
But hang on ain't they still leading ?
That means currently they still are Alpha correct?
In any case increased competition is good.
I run a water taxi business and note the new boxes with these products that customers and their kids returning from the Malls back to their island or bay homes, still are largely Apple.
But most of these people have money so are well informed and can afford the more expensive state of art product.
But I have heard a kid complaining his friends have an Apple and he wanted Apple...not a Galaxy ( in his best brat voice)
Oh sure the cheap Korean products are just as good I hear?
Well I don't know enough to answer that one.
Made in Korea doesn't do it for me unless it's this k pop princess strutting pussy.
But I acknowledge if I had shares in Apple I would be nervous....
But there are most likely a team of worlds best engineers making some other device that will make all these products look silly.
It's not a ""little race""..... It's a long big one....
And the leader has the best position.
Worlds richest company......
Tend to have the resources to make something happen..
Until you guys catch up the market share it's A waste of time chest beating....
Basically instead of being on the proverbial canvass in this fight your just bouncing of the ropes swinging......
You still haven't been knocked out is all your saying.
Wait that might come later.
But then again the Poor peasant folk of India and other developing nations along with single moms and low paid workers will perhaps help you keep market share to some extent.

Don't be - AAPL down to $550. Time to buy.
Finally about the right price/drop to buy back shares after I sold approx 500 shares when they were at around 700. Basically, picking up 135 free shares that way.
You can expect AAPL to be back at $700 and beyond by mid-next year, if not hitting around $1000 by end of the year.
