When first registered with the forum about 3 weeks ago I found a thread where I think you indicated special rates in the above apartments. Having done multiple searches since, for the life of me I cannot locate your response to an earlier poster and if you have any info on special rates for forum users I would be interested. Looking for up to 2 months from the middle of next week.
Thanks for anything you can offer.

Find the website and contact the apartments directly about their rates. Make sure you know in advance what credit card policy is (surcharge), VAT taxes, service charge, etc. You can usually get good rates for a stay of one month or more.

You're probably talking about the thread for Royal President - where RBT advised that members could use his corporate rate. The corporate rate also applied to Solitaire etc, but I found at the time a better rate for solitaire.
If you can't find it again PM RTB - but be carefull, teddies bite 
I think also from memory his rate expired on the 1.1.05

my corporate rate did not expire, but it is the same as the internet rate now. so, not much use actually.
solitaire does nor give corporate rates. best rates ar on their website.

OK, so that was the original post by RTB setting out his corporate rate. Going to the link and reading the bottom right hand side you will see "Valid from 1st Jan ???? to 31st Dec. 2004".
I suppose its a fine line between "expire" and "valid".

there is a corporate rate for solitaire!
prices have gone up a lot in the last year.
at the moment you will have to calculate with a monthly rate of about thb 45,000 for an executive room and thb 75,000 for a platinum suite.

I stayed in a Premier Suite for a month (31 days) when I arrived here in October 2004. From memory I think I paid something like 55,000 for the duration. That included breakfasts every day, all taxes and 5000 baht laundry/drycleaning allowance.
Well worth it in my view. If you're staying for two months, I'd be tempted to just call them and see what they can do for you.

Thanks for the help guys.
When I arrived I visited Solitaire and Emporium Suites, getting the guided tour at both, though eventually settled for a Colonial Deluxe (in garden) at Centrepoint (Suk Soi 10). Neither of the former two came close in condition of room (light, ambiance, etc.) and I am paying 57,000baht per month at Centrepoint, which is marginally more expensive than Solitaire but much cheaper than Emporium (at 90,000baht).
Only saw two rooms each at Solitaire and Emporium so my conclusion may be skewed but anyone in the same position should at least look at Centrepoint.
