I just got a very expensive offer from Centrepoint Soi 10 for this coming August-September. They're pressuring me to pay up in advance, but I need to know more. What is the "garden wing" like, and what floors in your opinion are the best? I'm looking for a type A or B apartment. What do you have?

Stayed at the President Solitaire and really liked it, good location and excellent service. I stayed in a platinum suite and got it through expedia.com, all told I think it was about $110/night. On asiarooms.com I believe it may be a bit cheaper. No problems with bringing in women and there is a rear entrance if you don't want to come in the front. I spoke at length with one of the taxi drivers who is almost always waiting out front and he seemed to tell me that there was some infighting with management there, had something to do with people taking bribes and management taking a cut of tips. He was really down on someone there but it was hard to understand what he was saying. Overall, a very good place to stay, I really liked the pool. The gym is very rudimentry but serviceable.
There is one club (Genesis) right around the corner and one across the street from Genesis (Fun House) and the Q Bar isn't far away. Genesis and Fun House employ lots of girls which I believe can be barfined, not sure. Anyway, I recomend the place.

Geez, methinks you have an inferiority complex. Could you please point out where in his post he is being "arrogant"? I thought he, like most posters, was just spreading intel on the board.
IMO, you lost your argument when you decided to get personal. It's childish crap like this that turns people off on posting....... It also leads to assumptions as to your feelings towards the US which is a shame because I think quite highly of Australia (am assuming you're an Aussie).

But it never ceases to amaze me that many ( not all ) Americans assume that the USA is the centre of the universe,,,, example ( chatting on ICQ) where you from,,, reply L.A,,, my reply wow Lake Argyle,, its a beautiful place.
And as stated a $ is not necessarily a US$, yes the world has other countries.

It is (unfortunately for some people it seems) a FACT that the US Dollar IS the major world standard currency.
Any sophisticated traveler who would think that the unqualified term "Dollar" might refer to a Fiji Dollar, or who might not realize that L.A., universally and not "arrogantly", refers to Los Angeles and NOT Lake Argyle has a serious personal and nationalistic identity problem.
Get over it, dude - it's a big world.

Get over yourself,, yes it's a BIG world and the USA is not the centre of all known life.
The American dollar is NOT king, in fact most experts now believe that world commodity prices will be quoted in Euros within the next few years.
I see that you may in fact have the arrogance that I most hate in American people ( not all but some),,,, LA can be Lake Argyle or any other number of places ( I admit LA may be a poor example for what I am trying to convey) why should people automatically be expected to realise it is in the USA.
I always respond when asked my home city " Sydney Australia",,,,, I do NOT assume everyone thinks I am Australian ( there is a city called Sydney in Canada).
When I reply to costing I use AUD$ ( or BAHT) clearly defining the currency, once again not arrogantly assuming what people will think ( often reply in Thai BAHT here as it should be).
The need to show precision in location has thousands of examples here are just a few.......
Cairo ( there is one in Illinois)
Birmingham ( there is one in Alabama)
Florence ( once again one in Alabama)
Boston ( there is one in Massechusetts)
Cheers and get out to see that the world does NOT revolved around the USA, but the USA is just a small piece of the world.
