Planning a trip to Siem Reap and Angkor Wat in the New Year. so if any of you guys have any up to date info on Hotels similar to Dyanasty or Majestic BKK, must be guest friendly. What's the night life and sanuke scene like and where is it, a hotel close by would be good. Do you have a phone number, email address for reliable car driver/guide, going to be spending 4-5 days there having a good look at Angkor Wat and anything else that might be of interest, so any info will be gratefully recieved.

The sanuk scene is quite limited. Unless you are desparate save it til PP.
The best and I say this reluctantly is the big entertainment complex in the middle of town where you can get a massage or boom boom or eat in the restaurant or dance in the disco. I cant remember the name of it just now but will look it up.
Freelancers tend to be of the ugly sort unless you are lucky. Zanzibar is one place you can get picked up - they choose you. As you walk in one of the girls will choose you and become a limpet unless you tell her immediately to f*ck off and even then she might not get the message. I would avoid it, the place is a dump.
Just go to another bar and drink all night or go to
Martinis disco, which can be good or bad, depends on what time you go and what day and who is around, you might get lucky with one of the beer girls though 
The local brothels are nothing to talk about with average looks down to dont bother.
The motos do know of other places but be careful. Apart from everything else, if they ask you "do you like young girls?", say "no, I like them 18+". If you say yes some will take you to a place with kids.
Just now there is a police curfew with everything supposed to be shut by midnight as khmers are going round shooting moto drivers.
Virtually all hotels are guest friendly apart from the 4, 5 star jobs.

That is called Sok San Palace. On the MP side, it has a fish tank setup where you can take the girl upstair or even back to your hotel. But I suggest you check with the papasan beforehand as I know some girls won't offer full service.

Thanks for that, can you recommend a hotel near the action, well a stagger away!! Quality wise on par with Dynasty BKK so way down!!!
My main purpose is Angkor Wat but would like a bit of fun in the evening.

Well, there are literally hundreds of hotels in the small town of SR. If you want close by the actions, then you probably want to check out hotels around the old town section. But I have to warn you that none of the hotels in that area are worth more than 2 stars. Almost all of them are the small family run motel type.
I was staying at this place called Casa Angkorian back in Sept this year. Its just located towards the northern part of town. I found it very convenient as I can walk leisurely to the old town section on foot in about 10 min. Its definitely a great and classy place to stay (http://www.angkorhotels.org/casaangkor/EN/) but it ain't cheap either. I was lucky to be there during the low season and every hotel in town is running a vacancy. Casa gave me 50% off and no tax for a Deluxe room which they normally charge for $80+ during the tourist season.

Girls in Siem Reap? Forget about it! I thought Vietnamese girls were bad but leave your condoms at home, you won't need it here. Most girls shopping in Tesco Lotus in BKK will outshine any girl in Siem Reap. Massage parlors there (Hollywood and the lot on that street) are charging USD50 to 35 for one shot in very shotty establishments. The Cambodian guy next to us handed the papasan $10 and without blinking he turned to us and quoted $50. We looked at him, at the 4 available girls, thanked him for a good laugh to end our nite and walked out. Dance places like Martinis are pretty packed...yeah but with guys! Ratio there is like 10 guys to 1 girl with tons of gays around. White dude sitting behind us was stroking and getting stroked by a young Cambodian boy...very disturbing place to hang out. So if you plan to visit, don't expect any nitelife...thank goodness the temples were spectacular. Unbelieveable that Cambodians had such a grand history and temples. Also, the road to Siem Reap from Poipet is still unpaved and the trip was scarier than driving in Vietnam...you'll be wearing your kidneys as earlobes at the end of the ride. Stench at the border and at the lake is unbearable and the amount of beggars and handicapped children from the landmines is also very disturbing if you're not prepared for it. But the temples are worth the trip though. Makes the Wats in Thailand look small.

The girls are good to go for $20 S/T, EVERYWHERE in Siem Reap. Some are real cuties, especially the Vietnamese. Tell the mamason that you want a massage only, all of the girls are willing to negotiate once you get them to your room.
Be very careful of the young un's, there are a ton of them, and the authorities would love nothing more than to make an example of you.
The Sunrise guest house is about 2 or 3 years old, sattelite TV, hot water, very clean, awesome staff, VERY guest friendly, air con and last time I was there it was $12
