... But the temples are worth the trip though. Makes the Wats in Thailand look small.
It's a shame the French have 'borrowed' most of the good stuff you see on TV and in books ('Conservatoire D'Ankhor' my arse), but lets face it the Vietnamese do need the money.

I was in Siem Reap in October and found Zanzibar to be the best. My hotel, Reaksmey Chanreas was two doors down from it, clean big room $20 no problems bringing back guests. Maybe it was a good night but Zanzibar had four very good looking girls out of the 10 or so there. Took one for $20. Must all be freelancers because no BF involved. She left after. So make her agree to $20 for LT only.
But the nightlife isn't worth missing a good night's sleep so you can get up early, to see the temples. Definetly try to leave before sunrise as by 10 AM or so the mid day sun will give you bleached out looking photos. If I had to do it again, I'd do early evening STs from Zanzibar and early morning wake ups.

Don't know if Bakh Heng Disco is still across the street from Zanzibar as it's been a couple years since I've been there. Any motodup can take you to massage houses that are not in the main area. P4P is expensive in Siem Reap compared to other places in Cambo because of the Japanese tourists throwing their money around.
