took a 3 day trip to PPH last month, May 2008. Got really shocked how prizes exploded within a short period of time. Early this year I've banged a cute looking viet gal LT for 15 US$ LT. These days that category of gals asking 40$ + for the same services.
I'm strolling around asia countries for years, however I've never seen such an rocking cost development within a few weeks only.
Seems the providers adjust their rates equivalent to the f***ing oil/gas prizes.
Bye bye cambodia...

Working a trip to PP, flt from BKK to PP via Asia Air.
Asia Air R/T - 4,300 baht (over 100.00 WTFO).
Visa - 20.00 Dollars upon arrival.
California 2 - Closed, sold.
Walk-A-Bout - Reservation in work, 24.00 a night.
Depending on where you check (forums) :
Some places now have a 5-7 Dollar Barfine.
S/T runs 10-15.00 most places and L/T still goes
for between 20-30.00. With the usual hottie asking
for 50.00 to start the bargaining.
Any recent information on P4P in PP?

Checked again and Asia Air tickets are actually 5,600 baht (around 150.00) to PP.
Bangkok Air was 10,000 + and Thai Airway 12,000+.

+ 25 $ upon departure. Air asia is the cheapest alternative to my knowledge. Do the booking via network a few days up front, do not buy the ticket at the airport counter.

Air Asia is the cheapest but they are known for some times cancelling the morning flight, I had it happen to me two months ago, and met some others who said that it happens about once a week.
I was moved to the evening flight, but missed my connecting fligh to Chiang Mai. The Thai wife had some questions why I missed my flight from Bkk to CM thinking I was in Bkk already.
A few other people connecting to Europe with 1,500 dollars flights had to buy spots on Bkk Air and Thai Air for nearly 200.00 one way(same day).
So, just be careful you don't have a tight connecting or have some spare cash. Maybe you should tell your favorite moto to hold until you verify the flight is departing as scheduled.
