Re Dr Loves posting earlier. From what I know this is mostly rubbish - the salaries (in the artists bars at least) are generally HIGHER than elsewhere - Christies pay 10,000 - 15,000 pcm. Add to this the high drinks prices and you get a feel for why it attracts girls who don't RELY on after hours activities - hence why it is often harder to get a girl to spend the night with you.
Many girls here are genuinely doing a "2nd job" i.e. have a "normal" day job. To sit around withy a few guys and pick up an extra 15-20k is an easy option here.

NM, some who come in mind without classifying them:
- girls and women around Hualamphong station and Yaowarat.
- Coffee Shop girls (Thermae, Grace)
Whitespider, I have this from a close source (unconfirmed though). Bacchus is paying these rates to girls. I guess quite a few other bars on 33 have the same standards in rewarding their employees ....
There might be a few exceptions, but it is not 'mostly rubbish'.

It shows here that you have no idea that these girls have to make long hours (6 pm to 1-2 am) for 6-7 nights a week and it's not always 'just sitting with a couple of guys'.
Plus, more than a few of these girls became addicted to alcohol because of their job.
Can you tell me how much these girls really receive from these 'high drink prices'?

also salaries are only that high for some selected girls, the usual salary as far as i am aware on soi 33 is only around thb 5,000 a month!!!

My history with the 33 bars is pretty old, but the way they pay the girls in the bars has not changed a great deal since then...
I used to frequent a couple of the 33 bars when I lived in Bkk.. They found out I was teaching and some of them wanted lessons .. I offered lessons in exchange for "massage" .. during this time I learned that most of them got B5K per month .. now this was back when regular bar girls got B3K per month .. so now that regular bar girls get B5-6, I would imagine that the max a girl is going to get is B10K and frankly I doubt that ??
The way a girl can make more money is to get barfined and some of the best looking do get these.. they get about half of the bar fine.. plus a tip .. so it is quite possible some of them make B15-20K, but I doubt many of them do ..
As far as being a part time job.. BS .. they have to be there too early for that .. most regular girls don't get off work until after five .. then with the comute, etc .. they could never get there in time ..
Also, for a regular girl to work there.. if anyone ever saw her she would lose so much "face" that they would never try it ...

Wall Street, Monet, The Office, Blu-Bar_B-Q have been my best nights.
Monet has also been my worst...can be hit and miss.
Wall Street would be my first choice. Some fun girls in there when livened up.

Some good restaurants on soi 33, including some of the food in the bars, or can be delivered into the bars (Bella Pizza)...so certainly my favourite place to start an evening...particularly if it's going to be a long one.

Most fun place on soi 33, THE CAVE, but don't go there as you will hate it..
Don't want it to get too crowded, but that will not be a problem as all the cheap charlies that go to Bkk will not pay the price..

Because they are much more clever than the big spenders slashing out THB 900 for a rip off joint.
Any idea why they charge THB 900 for the first drink?
Because the chance that, once the novelty wears of (around 15 minutes), only a few 'bright headed' would buy another drink.
