You still don't get it, and that further shows how nieve you were at Baccara.
They asked you three times if you were ordering another drink, then in your interpretation, they were rude and made you pay your check bin when it was clear to them you were not ordering anymore drinks. That seems pretty logical on their part. You're done drinking so time to pay up.
It seems you assumed it was also time to leave, as from your report there was no mention from them that it was also time to leave, only that it was time to pay your check bin.
You said nothing about them asking you to leave, only that you left because in your opinion they were rude when after being asked 3 times you did not order more drinks. Why should they leave an open check bin if you aren't ordering more drinks?
What did you need an explanation about from them about? Why they asked you to pay bin, and in your opinion in a rude manner? They asked you to pay up because you were done drinking, plain and simple. Why do you need an explanation from them about why they asked you to pay up. Isn't it usually the case when you're done drinking you pay?
There was no mention in your report that they also asked you to leave, only that they asked you to pay. That was your assumption that you also had to leave, after repeatedly reading your report.
I still think as I said before, they shouldn't have been rude, but their actions were justified in the busiest gogo on Soi Cowboy.

I agree with the OP, the staff at Baccara was being rude. I don't think koolbreez read the original post carefully. If you read the original post, Thor was simply waiting for his friend to finish his beer. If ordering one overpriced Coke in the space of 15 minutes is not good enough for Baccara, then it is truly an indication of how terrible Soi Cowboy has become. I mean how many drinks is someone supposed to drink in the space of 15 minutes? I know it takes me longer than 15 minutes to drink one beer. Was Thor supposed to leave the bar immediately and wait for his friend outside while he finished the beer? Ridiculous!
Luckily this behavior seems to be the exception, but if this kind of service is the trend for Soi Cowboy in future, then they might as well tear the f(*%ing place down and build another shopping center. I say this as someone who has had one hell of a lot of good nights out in the Soi over the space of the last 26 years.

I have to agree. Koolbreez hit it right on the head. If you are not spending money, move on. Some bars may not ask you to leave because they are not busy but after asking you if you want another a few times no one will pay attention to you. Thor, I think you are being too sensitive. OK, so don't go their again. But if they are very busy with SRO, then they don't need someone sitting slowly drinking a soda which is already cheaper than a drink with alcohol. Supply and Demand. About the only market principle that never changes. If this is the first time in twenty years you have felt mistreated in a Thai girl bar you are a lucky man. I personally prefer less busy bars where I know my custom will be appreciated. I don't go to Baccarra, not because I think they are rude, but because they don't value my business as much as a different bar with girls who are just as good. Just my opinion and I have been visiting Thailand also for about 20 years, frequently.

Actually, the price is the same, it's still 160 B. That's what I paid for my soda (now, that I'm off alcohol). That's the premium you pay for watching those girls. The trick is to get a drink that will last a long as the beer. The soda water itself or coke for that matter would just get consumed too quickly, so I switched to Tonic water, which lasts longer for me.
