I have yet to pay over 2500 LT -I might tip extra for spectacular service, but I think I have only *ever* paid more than 3K for LT, ever - and those were spectacular exceptions.

... for anything with an international brand, you will pay more in Thailand... the garment industry is still protected from import competition... you can buy knock-off shirts and such from street vendors up and down lower Sukhumvit, but beware the details and the quality.
... some good quality, 100% cotton Nautica golf shirts are selling from a street stall located just outside of Robinson's Department Store at Asoke BTS Station... the stall is the 1st or 2nd stall you see when you walk from Robinson's toward Soi 17... you should be able to negotiate 3 for THB250/each, and they do have very large sizes.
... if you want high quality pants and shirts, you can have them tailored for what you would pay in the States off the rack... visit Rajawongse Tailors and see what they have and at what prices... located about 3 doors down from the Landmark Hotel at Nana BTS Station (same side of the street, walking away from the BTS Station)... you will not be disappointed... ... if you want high quality cotton and silk short sleeved shirts and golf shirts, go to Jim Thompson... expensive at the normal stores... or, take a trip out to their outlet store somewhere around Sukhumvit Soi 101, or so... not difficult to find... http://www.jimthompson.com/.

Looks like I may be seeing Dr.Love tonight, so that is great. COMPLETE failure on my part to get clothes, watch, shoes, etc., so those last few messages you folks have left is a GREAT thing, and I really appreciate it. I am heading out again right now to see if that stall next to Robinson is open/present, I must have passed it by (there's a Tops Market under Robinson, GREAT prices and selection on groceries!). I desperately need a shirt to not be rude to DrLove by smelling. Going going gone.

If you want name brand clothes bangkok is not cheap. If you want fake LACOSTE shirt off street-price very reasonable--decent quality too.
Please dont buy 30$ ROLEXes.....hahahaha. Spend the $3,000.

This lt and st prices thing is getting ridiculous-i think whats happenening is that guys who are getting extemely cheap prices are gettin girls right off the pavement(not recommended for a newbie). As a whole, street girls cannot compete with girls who work buildings, massage parlours, agoogo 's etc.

Just got back from the Dr.Love tour. I had a good time. The word is good ONLY because my back is killing me. Too much walking before we got together, and then we walked all over Bangkok, and sat in terrible chairs, haha. So there may or may not be small tears rolling down my checks because of back pain. If it wasn't for the back pain, I would say I had a GREAT time. Dr.Love is very cool, and he really gave me a great tour. Thanks, Doctor! I will join the long list of people recommending to newbies to take his tour, for sure.
Loving Bangkok, and thanks to this tour, I have about 20 girls I want to go back and find and molest in the nicest way possible. I may need to take out a bank loan to afford this trip.
Will write more when I am in better condition. And, Snoop, basically the communication is not going well, I am doing a BUTT load of writing on a big pad of paper. Thank gawd I brought two seperate pads.

We had a good night with stops at Soi 33, Soi Cowboy, Beer Garden, Nana and Patpong.
I planned to take my Samsung Tab 10.1 with me for communication purpose but decided to let my Iphone do the 'talking'.
But Massageslave is pretty good in lip reading and other times it was easier to use a pad and pen.
