Actually the best tailor I ever had was a gent in HK called Lac Samtani. He came from a long line of tailors and had an office in the Wing On Plaza in Tsim Sha Tsui East.
Right before the Chinese took over he moved to Vancouver and would do a world tour each year to allow customers to visit him and update their measurments. Orders were generally done by phonecall or email.
Last time I was in HK I passed Wing On Plaza so I dropped by to check out his old store. Alas it was gone but a google of his name yields this:

So if you are looking for a QUALITY tailor you will have to go to Vancouver...

The proof of pudding is in the eating. Thats why I thought Majestic Tailors should be good enough, because they have made a big set of Hotels (in BKK). I did get my wardrobe fitted through them. Quality of stitching is excellent, range of clothing material they have is extensive, rates as usual reasonable (this applies tho most of tailors in BKK). One son of senior Sardar is into tailoring and the other one incharge of hotels. The best thing I like is all their hotels are very Girl Friendly and Majestic Suites eminently affordable. Breakfast is good. At least for this reason I generally give them my tailoring business too.

Most Tailors in tourist areas such as Sukhumvit sell low quality fabrics targeted at people who can't tell the difference.
If you are looking for quality making and fabrics from brands like Zegna, Loro Piana, Vitale Barberis, Scabal, etc. "Narin Couture" is the place to go (Sukhumvit road near Soi8).
Another alternative where you can find quality fabrics is "Nai Chan" in the Central World mall (2nd floor, check the plan, this mall is huge!) or Sukhumvit Soi 24:

I agree with you 100%. Why tailors, any business establishment you are approaching in LOS (except for those established ones like Robinsons), will try to take you for a ride, one way or the other.

Does anyone know the tailor just down sukhumvit from sio4 headed away from NP toward nana BTS but on the same side of Suk? sorry for weak description.
He has a Picture of George Bush framed and apparently made Dudya a suit during the APEC conference years ago.
I can find it, but wanted to see if any bro's had been and share a recommendation. As I have heard he is great..

He seems to do a good business but I did not buy because I was looking for something other than traditional business suits and a little more lively style and color.

I prefer TajMahal tailors, right next door to Raja tailors on soi 4. Excellent material, and stitching.
