Atelier, the Sunday brunch venue of the relatively new Grand Millennium Sukhumvit may look less extravagant compared to other hotels, but this 140-seater is among a few in town that highlights the glamour of Asian cuisine.
From Thai, Chinese, Japanese and Korean to Vietnamese as well as European and Australian styles, this bright and cheery restaurant with the majority of the food stations gathered together in one area offers a boundary-less variety of dishes that are to be prepared to the guests's preferences in a la minute fashion.
To present diners with the choices available, in front of the all-open cooking station was displayed a decent selection of vegetables and meat (various types of beef, lamb, chicken, pork, fish and seafood) for you to pair with your preferred style of cooking. We ordered steamed snowfish with soy sauce, grilled beef tenderloin and river prawn, pan-fried salmon with butter and herbs, Korean barbecue pork and Thai-style stir-fried mimosa (phak krached) with oyster sauce and were very pleased with the quality and flavours.
One of the special things at Atelier was that it had a tapas bar where a mouthwatering selection of Spanish and Italian cured meats and sausages such as chorizo, parma ham, salami and corned beef are displayed and are sliced to your order. While among the likes of Alaskan king crab, Fin de Claire oyster, lobster tails and caviar, its seafood corner also featured a bunch of razor clams which can be hardly found anywhere else.
A free-flow of Asian beer, green tea, coffee, soft drinks and a wide variety of fresh fruit juice and smoothies are also available for all buffet diners. The hotel is now offering 50 percent discounts for parties of four persons or more.

Price is not a consideration for Bangkokians when it comes to the joy of an all-you-can-eat weekend brunch. At top hotels, which brunch connoisseurs regard as the ideal destination, regular prices for three hours of the gastronomic indulgence can be as high as 3,500 baht per person (before tax and service charge), and never lower than 1,500.
Obviously, in a city where eating is always a significant priority, people seem to be even more enthusiastic now to have their tastebuds amused. The number of Sunday brunch hunters has quickly multiplies over the past 12 months, as has the number of venues.
At the moment, you can find Sunday brunch on offer at almost every five-star hotel, and reservations are a must.
Driven by the public craze and fierce competition, many hotels have definitely invested a great deal of money in their lines of food in order to offer ''better than best'' quality and variety at Sunday brunch.
Alaskan king crabs, Fines de Claire oysters, French foie gras, Australian wagyu beef and New Zealand lamb chops _ all served at no limit _ have remarkably become some of the staple luxuries on the savoury line. That is not to mention caviars, cheeses wine and fine champagnes. Some brunch venues have a spacious cheese room with more than 30 choices of cheeses from various sources.

Didn't want to spend a fortune on Christmas Buffet, so tried Bullys. Prime rib, honey glazed ham, turkey, goose, salmon, 5 kinds of cheeses on board. Pecan pie for dessert. It was a decent meal for 690.

The Sportsman's Sunday offering is not a buffet, rather a one-plate roast beef or pork.
Swiss Lodge on Convent Road, not far from Silom, offers a 199 baht net lunch buffet 11:30-2:30 M-F, with a nice soup and salad bar with fresh-cooked pasta selections, as much as you can eat.
