Which industry are you planing to work in? You could try the job boards or just seek out the recruitment agencies and send them your CV.

... popeye... here just shy of 12 years now, I believe that to be happy in Thailand, you have to have made your money before moving here... Thailand is a good place to live, but not a good place to make money... I know but few who succeed im making any kind of money here... living here on limited budget makes for a pretty crappy lifestyle.

popeye, yeah, make sure you have some substantial amount of money before you get here looking for a job. You don't want to be broke over here, while looking for a job. Have at least USD 10-20K, that should last you about 6 months if you don't party it all way.

I worked for a Thai company for many years and was based in the U.S. but spent almost every other month in LOS on business. If I chose to live in LOS my wages would have been local, which meant I was going to live like a local... and I don't mean Local yokul.... Low wages...
So I chose to stay in the U.S. and was paid rough;y 4 times more and still went to LOS all the time......
Lesson learned?
Yes..... It sucks to live in LOS on local wages as some of the guys I worked with were expats and they slowly were beat down into getting into a huge hole and had to move back to their home countries anyways.
If you are specialized and can find a great job, God bless you. But if you are not, it is far better to just go to LOS every chance ytou get and make your money in your home country.

I guess teaching is still the easiest industry to get into for Farangs, be it english teaching or teaching related. 10 years ago any knobhead Westerner could get a job teaching (the Canadian truck driver I met who couldn't even spell) but these days a degree is preferred and especially for the better paying jobs
As thailife said the best job to get is from home where a company is recruiting workers to work in Thailand and you can negotiate a western salary
If you are in Thailand and desperate you could always sign up as a boiler room salesman, or sell second hand iPhones to your mates

Thailand is best enjoyed with a fat wallet and that means for most people making their money elswhere and then spending it in Thailand.
Also Thailand is more fun if you are not in country all the time.
I have managed spending two to three months of the year in Thailand for the past 15 years and I like it this way.
I have a few friends who live here but they already have plenty of money so they are not concerned about what they earn here. But these friends also are fat bored and dont shag that much anymore either. What's the point of that?

I think the climate in Thailand is overrated. With humidity levels ranging from 80 to 85% for most of the year, combined with the heat is like living in a giant outdoor suana.
