I will add my two cents here.
To avoid prostate problems there are a number of things men can do:
Keep your weight down.
Exercise regularly
Keep your zinc levels up, eat broccili,cabbage, cooked tomatoes, chillies, nuts
Take supplements like Swisse Prostate formula, Fish oil
Don't drink too much alcohol especially beer
Prevention is better than any of the rather horrible cures for prostate diseases.

I had a op a few years ago, enlarged prostate and
some prat burnt some nervesand it stopped.
I tried Viagra with the missus, but it took to long to take affect so we just seemed to give up after awhile,
I did try in bangkok last year but she gave up made me laugh though.
My wife is 80 and six months I am 79 and six months
we are the best of pals,dont argue a lot,life is very good and she was my secretary at my trips every day
to the hospital, we have no money troubles so I have
been told by her that I shall be in bk late march.
sex? dont miss it, but love to read all your escapades.

Hi Guys.
Its been a time now sincee I last wrote last.
A lot has happened, and I have come at last out of the woods.
I still have my implant and sweat like mad at night,still swim everyday.
I have now seen my consuntant, who looked at me shook my hand and said. Welcome to another ten years your psa is 0.01
and nothing detected.
I bet you say this everyone I said. why should I say that I could just as say you will die next, when are you going to Bangkok?
I had a little cry when I came out !!
I feel mentally ok and arrive november

I've had Prostate problems for a decade now having first discovered my PSA of 15 in 2000. But the biopsy showed no cancer, just a large Prostate.
Couple of things......
1/ You can avoid the biopsy in many cases with a new test called the "Free PSA to Bound PSA Ration" test. If you are above 25%, no cancer is likely. Below and you are a cancer candidate and probably need the biopsy.
2/ I went a long time finally suffereing two nights of hell in one week in the form of urinary blockages. Emergency room catheterization followed each time and so I finally decided on the TURP operation which removes Prostate tissue near the urethra, not the entire prostate. I am ok now including sexual function.
3/ Those who I know who went for the Laser procedure all had problems so be careful with this "modern, high tech" option.
