My friend of mine has planned to visit LOS and his flight is this weekend. He unfortunately got a cut on his scrotum just below the base of his penis while shaving a day ago. He is now worried that this will impede his activities in bangkok.
He has asked me if there is any method to quickly heal this cut, which is not deep. Apparently a layer of skin has come off. Since I have no idea regarding this, I thought of asking the members here. The only approach I have would be to put a plaster, which would really be weird while getting on with the girls.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Hehe... funny... had this problem some years ago when I prepared my member for beeing shown to some ladies of the night by shaving it before going out... actually trimming the hair with trimmer... and outch... yep, cut my sack... myohmy... it was bleeding like hell and there goes my night out and any showing...
The cut was pretty deep into the skin and it was bleeding for a couple of hours... you can't apply a band-aid down there... not really... believe me I tried...
I was really worried, but the bleeding finally stopped during the night and the next morning it was ok, no serious problem here after that... If my memory serves me right I was out the next day without problems and back to showing... hehe, couldn't wait any longer ye know...
So... as long as your friend doesn't do too much of hard exercise it should be ok... it's like any other wound... some preservation will do...

I know what you mean thailife... Thanks for the tips guys, I have passed it on to my friend. According to the latest report, the bleeding has stopped and he has applied the spray-on plaster. He intends to apply it before his romps.

NEOSPORIN Antibiotic/Pain Relieve Ointment or Cream ( Cream probably best for this application). Not sure if they have this brand in LOS, but something like it will do.

Regardless, if he has shaved off a dermal layer, it will take 7-10 days to regenerate - there's no way to speed up the process (albeit he could try increasing his protein intake in the form of red meats, but the effects are marginal.)
As this is a flexible area, which will probably see lots of movement and action, he can also try using a spray on bandage, or a brush on 'new skin' type of bandage application. This negates the application of the neosporin antibiotic ointment, though, as they won't co-exist -- it will allow him to protect the area, and not get funny looks from the girls.
Last but not least, having an exposed wound, while engaging in high-risk activities increases the risk, particularly to diseases that can only be transmitted by exchange and contact with blood.

good idea daffy. the 'new skin' products that are out there are used a lot for everything from blisters on the feet to atheletes using it on open skin. I travel with neosporum in my bag whenever I travel. In my toiletry bag I have a few things that are always in there. Neosporum, can bottle opener, imodium for the shits, cipro just in case, ambian for sleep. the rest of the stuff I can find anywhere I go.
