Thank you all bro, its nice to have people who understand...even my fooking doc in france was like "yes, you hear a wistling sound...what is the big deal, you think you have UFO in your garden..."
ASSHOLE

So far they gave me 3 medications....
ibuprofène...useless
some corticoids....useless
Tiracepam...so far useless

Only some "ambient sounds" manage to hide the tinnitus, and its getting stronger each time I do physical efforts (yes, even sex...) or get angry....

And the wistling sound is giving me headaches as a bonus...(i was allway subject to migraines but now its almost 24H since 20 days....drive me nut...

Thanks again guys, if I find any solution I will let you know, and I will for sure read the info you suggest

One of the medications the Doc in Bumrungrad gave me was Xanax which is an anti anxiety medicine. I was on 0.5mg a day and I often use it for sleeping on long haul flights. I just googled it up and there are many sites that profess that it does work with Tinnitus specifically because stress and anxiety can bring on or increase volume of the tinnitus.

You can buy this over the counter in Bangkok but most places you need a scrip. Next time you are in BKK get some or go online and buy it.It's worth a try and it feels ok when you take it !!

Actually it may be more than tinnitus.... in your last post you said:

And the wistling sound is giving me headaches as a bonus...(i was allway subject to migraines but now its almost 24H since 20 days....drive me nut...

This could also indicate an impending stroke.... no I am not a doctor but lately in the US there has been a campaign by the National Institutes of Health to publicize the symptoms of stroke and your symptoms are a close match.

My advice, explain what you said above to a doctor and get a brain scan ...

... commonly missed by all but the best diagnosticians, and a long shot diagnosis, but have yourself checked for Miniere's Disease... tinnitus often presents early with this disease... checking this one off the list would be cheap insurance, and easy... the cost of misdiagnosing Miniere's could be quite high.

What's worse, this horrible Tinnitus or a serious bout of the clap ???

Why does the good man above deal these horrible cards to people who just want to enjoy their lives before their time is up ?

"...the good man above..." (???)

I like George Carlin's description of "him".

Back on topic, I've had tinnitus in my right ear for 3 years.
I attribute it to the night in Cowboy bars with a talkative colleague after work, when he yell-talked in my right ear for a couple hours. My ear was ringing when I got home, and it never stopped.

I was a bit panicked for the first few weeks, but it didn't get worse, and my brain learned to ignore the sound most of the time. It's always there, but I'm not hearing it, so it doesn't bother me. When I do become aware of it, no problem because much more interesting things will soon occupy my brain again.

I second Broken Leg's generous post.

I remember last January when I had just started seeing some doctors at Bumrungrad thailien wrote the following:

I would not give Bumrungrad any more of your money. They are happy to take your money, and over-prescribe pills. Bumrungrad will not cure your tinnitus. Time, patience, and acceptance will help you more.

This has turned out to be completely true in my case. I have to say that although I feel much better now but still when tinnitus gets to me in some days I repeat his last sentence to myself: "Time, patience, and acceptance will help you more."

I m 37 and about as fit as one can dream to be
Does not smoke, does not drink, vegetarian since 20 years ++, slim and living an active life outdoor....

So I do not believe in the impeding stroke theory, but thanks for the advice anyway, now the menière disease...Why not, even if so far no vertigo (i was up on a roof the whole of last week, no problem)

Easy - because there is no "good man upstairs" !
