No, it's not 'released', that's beta 3, which has been available to developers for a week or so. While there are hacks to jailbreak beta 3 (hence to brisk business at MBK), it is not reliably unlock able yet, as the baseband of 4.1 does not have the same vector as as 4.01.
iPhone 4 and iOS 4.01 can be jailbroken ( just browse to http://jailbreakme.com ) and the latest version of ultrasn0w will unlock iPhone 4. This is convenient, albeit short-lived, as iOS 4.1 will be released in two weeks or less, and will require updated jailbreaks and ultrasn0w versions.
So, whatever they sell at MBK (or wherever) is not a reliable 4.1.

I upgraded my jail-broken and unlocked 3GS from 3.1.2 to 4.0.1 today, then did the jailbreakme.com thing, and installed ultrasn0w to do the unlock.
It was painless and as close to fool-proof as you can get when you follow the screen-shot filled tutorials for the jailbreak and unlock at iclarified.com

For those of you who like me dislike the way the new iOS4 multitasking drawer is populated with every app you start (even if the app does not support multitasking), you might want to install the Remove Recents app from Cydia.
That is, those of you who have jail-broken your iOS4 device.
It prevents those apps that don't support multitasking from being added to the drawer. Reduces a bit of the clutter.
Still prefer the way the Proswitcher / Backgrounder combo managed the task list over Apple's implementation of multitasking though.

Why, do you often scroll all the way to the back?
The way the drawer holds the 4 most recently used apps is, I find, a most practical way to quickly switch between those apps. I could not care less about the other apps, or those beyond that.

Sure, if you don't mind increasing instabilities and crashes on your devices.
I recently jailbroke my test iPhone 4 in order to install two single apps - the my3G hack to allow FaceTime over 3G, and Intelliscreen, to show upcoming events on the sleep-screen.
iPhone 4 has been both freezing and crashing regularly since it has been jailbroken; Ditto on my jailbroken test iPad, whereas it receives regular 'springboard has crashed, please restart' messages.
That's not even getting into the low level of quality and execution of the apps, Cydia as well as RockApp.

Apple shares to hit near $400 by 2012?

If analysts are realistic, they should expect Apple shares to slot between $380 and $400 by late 2011 or early 2012, a Fortune contributor claims. Many people are still assuming a price-to-earnings ratio of between 18 and 20, writes Bullish Cross author Andy Zaky, ignoring the sheer amount of cash Apple has, and a growth rate of 50 to 70 percent. Street consensus for October 2011 is limited to a stock price of about $332 to $350, and earnings per share of $17.50.
Apple should accumulate roughly $18 billion in cash in 2011, Zaky estimates, on top of the $45.8 billion it already has in savings. Using this assumption, and a prediction of $20 in EPS, brings about the $380-400 stock figure for the end of the next fiscal year. If the market was fully aware of Apple's cash levels and growth rate, Zaky suggests, shares would actually be poised to reach as much as $600 based on a 30x P/E ratio.
"Theoretically, Apple should have traded at a 50 P/E over the past five years, but has only seen that valuation level for only a few moments," he comments. Apple is expected to hold onto P/E ratios between 18 and 22 for the foreseeable future, based on the company's past track record. In terms of growth, the company should advance at rates between 25 and 30 percent for the next five years, and soon become the largest company in the US in terms of market capitalization.
