I guess Apple's copy of that data set is more readily available to the public. And that's probably the copy of the data set that they want fixed ASAP.

Fair enough - pls wherever Apple got their copy from, a lot of it is 5-6 years out of date. How hard can it be for Apple to go directly to sat imagery providers and say "we want full res versions, global reach, now"
