Looks like the iPhone 5 will be available in Thailand next week!

The Apple's iPhone5 will be available in Thailand on Nov 2 from three mobile operators and at Apple's authorised resellers, an industry source said on Friday.
Advanced Info Service is open for pre-orders today, Oct 26, but Dtac and TrueMove have yet to confirm.
Apple's policy allows mobile operators to announce the product's availability one week before the product enters the market.
According to the source, Apple sees the Thai market as a priority based on the country's high sales record. But due to import procedures, iPhone5 is still going on sale here later than the United States, Hong Kong and Japan.
Thailand is one of 100 countries across the globe were the iPhone 5 is on sale.

First iPhone 5s handed out

A graduate student from Phichit province who had queued up since yesterday morning was the first person in Thailand to get the new iPhone 5 handed out by Truemove early this morning.
Distribution of the pre-ordered phones began on the stroke of midnight at Paragon shopping mall in Bangkok, where more than 1,000 eager Apple fanboys queued for one of the long-awaited new smartphones.
The first unit was handed out to Pongpipat Penpone, 23, a Phichit province native who is currently a graduate engineering student at King Mongkut's University of Technology North Bangkok. He had been waiting since 10.30am Thursday.
According to the official Apple website, the price of a 16 GB iPhone 5 starts at 22,900 baht, or about 1,555 baht cheaper than without-contract phones available through Thai wireless service providers. The iPhone 5s are pricier in Thailand due to a higher marketing cost and the currency exchange rate.
Currently, iPhone 5s with 32 GB storage capacity are priced at 26,500 baht each and 29,000 baht for each of the 64 GB units on the website. These are all cheaper the phones offered by the Thai wireless operators but with three to four weeks shipping and handling delays.

Forget The iPhone 5 -- Apple Is About To Start Production Of The iPhone 5S
Apple is expected to start "trial" production of its next iPhone, the iPhone 5S, in December, reports Steve Shen of DigiTimes, citing a Chinese business newspaper.
The initial run will be small: 50,000-100,000 units.
Apple has reportedly "accelerated" the certification process for parts and materials in the new phone because of production problems with the iPhone 5.
