The one thing that people forget or fail to realize about China, is that it has the fastest changing social stucture in the world.
Pent up passions and desires are consuming traditional thinking which is being replaced by social mayhem. Peel back the layers that the Chinese allow you to see and there the real China will be revealed.
Watch out for increased press silence relative to foreigners being endangered as we get closer to the Olympics. My comments are based on Chinese words, but soon to be restricted.
Fortunately there is still fear attached with doing harm to foreigners. Only just. Loss of face prevents the true picture being fully reported.
I admire your defense of China.
But China invented smoke and mirrors.

Hey guys, 1st- let me clarify when I said the fall of communism is just a figure of speach. it was meant to reflect that China with the rise of "free enterprise" and with their own STOCK Market is not consider a communist state (by name only). With the suppression of human/civil rights and censorship, I would call China a Totalitarian Capitalism --in progress.
2nd- IMO--Chinatowns anywhere (outside of China) are generally safe places for visitors. I agree triads exist but they generally extort illegal immigrants they smuggle into country that owe them alot of money or people with gambling debts from their parlors etc. Ive not heard alot of crime commited against visitors in Chinatown by the chinese themselves.
3) (a disclaimer first: I am not an expert on China and not been to southern China -shenzshen and Guangzhou where the root of the crime problems I've posted earlier that led to this debate, but its on accurate info by Chinese friends living in HK thats been there and related their stories to me. They are NOT mongers but goes to Shenzshen or GZ on business and 2 friends have been mugged by knifepoint on 2 separate occasions while there and this was during the daytime and not some dark alley at nite.

Just spent a few Days in Beijing, lots of FL's working the larger Hotel Bars (such as the Holiday Inn Lido). They come from China (obviously) but also many from Mongolia and former Soviet Republics. Hotels are "guest friendlier" than they use to be BUT this changes I am told quiet regularly. I had no issues, just had to register the Girl.

Looking more and more to China, part for the business, part for the pussy, especially since they're getting more and more numerous and available back home in farangsaet.
Here's an update from Shenzhen:
Sweet Shenzhen girls...
Serious eye candy everywhere! And lot of it on the game!
First hotel we went, big but rather lousy in GF's city just outside Shenzhen, had over a dozen girls walking right outside obviously looking for customers. Several girls in the lobby and corridor as well going to their nightly business. Several condoms and lubricant in the room. Classy suite the sister got us...
Next day we moved to a posher serviced apartment downtown, 999 Royal Suites & Towers, and it's been a ballet of well groomed chinese men coming in and out with their mistress or their catch of the hour. Many girls hang out outside the hotel as well.
Downtown lots of sexy girls just going their daily life, the shopping area is a killer, just a tad less than HK but girls prolly more accesible.
Language issue is serious though, almost nobody speaks english and there are so many new immigrants that Mandarin is more widespread than Cantonese ( not so good news if you're comfortable with thai : cantonese should sound much more familiar)
Basically I didn't partake in any extra conjugal activity this trip but won't mind giving Shenzhen another try.
Mostly behaved like the good boy I can be before Mister Hyde takes over, I even invited the inlaws to a very nice french restaurant for mommy's birthday tonight ("Belle Epoque", totally unexpected and awesome setting, think Maxim's in way more opulent. Was hilarious to see the kids play around and fight with the food ( just fortunate it didn't happen in Paris... seeing them face down in the plate, fighting with the classy harp, or running around laughing and screaming about how big my nose and how black the fat singer are might have not gone down so well )
Taking GF out to BKK for a few days tomorrow. Guess extras will need to wait russians next week in Colombo, they might do for a change.
