Anyone know if most of the hotels in PP and Siam Reap are girl-friendly ? I am mostly interested in whether you can bring the girls into the 5-star hotels (if they exist) in PP and SR.
I never have any problem in BKK of course. But, I was charged extra in Phuket, and we all know Vietnam you can't have the girls stay overnight there.

Just 2 weeks back from Cambo, I think I've been there more than 10 times already - so no "expert" but I know a bit...
You do not need a guide in PP - but if you are a newbie it certainly helps. Though cambo has a certain reputation it is (IMHO) not dangerous for the "normal" tourist/monger who knows to play by the rules. It is just different, no Disneyland, more struggle for survival and such stuff for the khmers - but I love to be there and got even few friends over the time.
A good (and thrustworthy) driver helps a lot, he translates, he is even your security in some cases, he knows the girl "who stole money from that barang last time.." and all the rumors in town. If you meet a good one stick to him on every visit, it will pay off. But be aware that most drivers just look for quick $$ and some will even try to sell you everything u never wanted...
If asked for a recommondation I would suggest to check http://www.cambodia-taxi.com , his nickname is Mook.
Concerning hotels there are so many and I know only few of them. But I can say about http://favourhotel-cambodia.com that you can bring as many girls to your room as you like, good security too and nice rooms. Disadvantage: no breakfast in the morning, you have to go to the riverside.
Start of August there weren'nt many tourists in PP, lots of ladies at Sharkys, Martinis, Walkabout, Manhattan and on the streets... Some of them even speak thai, but not many. And in PP you never know where you'll find your true beauty, sometimes 2:30 a.m. on the street between all that rubbish at the fruit market...or those two on the back of an korean bike, 2 vietgirls with a vietnamese pimp driving beside your car. Talking while driving you check them - and they check you - 2 minutes later your car is filled up for party. Stop to buy some g**** for them and there we go.... Or may be that chinese chick with those very dark sunglasses at 3:00 a.m. at Manhattan, dancing like crazy - and later you see her eat like a *** cause she didn't had any food since 2 days... The waitress who never talks to the customers, only smiles, 2 cm fingernails and tigerskirts and later you find out why... the real stunner at the pooltable (sorry-again very early morning  , her white dress tight, black skin, her ass showing in your direction everytime she bends down to the table - asking you in your room if you too would like to do a porn movie with her and may be her friends, last time she got 150$$...the khmer waitress at Kien Svay (outside PP),after lunch in a room with her she bends to the bed with her ass up and expects you to do her backdoor - cause she never went with a barang and the khmer man like it that way...the old hongkong-chinese man at martinis, suddenly a growing crowd of young girls around him, you watch and you see that he is smelling her armpits after dancing and hands out $$ to them, the worse the smell the more $$...the vietgirl following you to the back of a slum located coffeeshop to the smelly toilet, showing you a finger for 1 $ and wants to give you a BBBJ there - you awfully hurt your head cause the small toiletts door isn't meant for barangs to enter, but the after 5 minutes you're okay and her T-Shirt is wet too...the 2 to 5 $$ whores at night in the parks near Independance Monument, some of them with scars all over there arms, knifes and pimps waiting to beat up a barang for some money... early morning about 5 or 6 a.m. the motos on PPs streets bringing the girls back from the hotels and guestrooms, mama san takes care for Svay Pak vietgirls, ordered the afternoon before to your room, their bras filled with $$ - and sometimes there might be more leaving your room than just the girl...the 2 khmerbeauties in the big darkgreen Toyota 4w, the driver and the second bodyguard wearing fatigues and dark sunglasses like in an old C-movie, don't even think about it...
So many things and people come to my mind, good and not so good experiences - however: I love it there, and no, it is not like Thailand.
Just go, play safe and have lots of fun! (and concerning my english, yes, it is not my mothertongue

I spend about 4 months in Cambodia over the last 2.5 years and walked regurarly from the walkabout to my riverside hotel. Its pretty safe as long as you dont walk alone when wasted or/and on Y or E 
Even in high season a single bed room with tv and fridge shouldnt cost you more then $8-12, pretty good deal.
PP is basicly a 24/7 operation, as BKK has its Thermae (never been there in 10 visits, about time I stop on the next trip PP has walkabout, only difference is walkabout doesnt close....ever
Le cyree was quite fun, had to wait for the room so the Khmer girl on yaba started BBBJ'ing in the little hallway at the back on the second floor, when we got onto the bed she was like a wild animal. One of the best ST I ever had

All Hotels in PP are girls friendly. For security reasons, some hotels might ask the girl to register... and when she leaves, reception may call you to check if no problem...
Security is OK in PP; just avoid to walk at night... No need a Guide to go around, better to get a car with a driver ($20/day)

If anyone is interested in a very trustworthy driver while you are in Phnom Penh- I have used a man by the name of Sophon --- he can be reached at SOPHON70@HOTMAIL.COM . He charges $20 a day but has told me that times are tough- he would probably take $ 15. He is at your beck and call for all the wild places you want to go to in and out of town.
