I have been based in BKK for 8 years now although i'm travelling a lot for my work. So, i know the place quite well.
Bustyboy,
I saw in an other thread that you qre living in PNH for 8 years too. Maybe you can advise me for a visa. Now, i'm going sometimes to Poipet just to do the out/in trick every 90 days within the day but it takes me a page in my passeport every time i go there. I'm thinking to make a business visa and go to PNH to get a 1-year business visa. Then, i won't have issues going to Poipet every 3 months. How long does it takes to make a 1-year biz visa in PNH, roughly how much and where to do it? Can the hotel manage it?

Officially, I understand that you have to do it at the Ministry of Interior. Official length of time, I am not sure. But mine took one day. One of my colleagues who is a local Khmer happens to know the son of the passport department controller. I just handed over my passport, and I got it back the next morning with the official multi-entry stamp biz visa valid for 1 year.

I was in P.P. in July / Aug this year and here are some prices that are more realistic. Walkabout ST $10.00
LT $20.00 , Martinies the same prices and Sharkies as well.
Some of the massage / hairdressing joints $3.00 massage $5.00 HJ ,FS $ 10.00.
Lacerille around the corner from Kims Kiwi bar FS $10.00
plus you can have abit of a diddle at the bar while you have a beer with your girl.
I didnt check out any of the st girls that hang around the parks at night but they are the bottom end of the scale.
Paying $ 50.00 is way over the top, a police officers wage at the moment is only $20.00 pm.
So I would say that some one has been paying way to much or there was a second party getting a spotters fee,part of the $50.00.
Thease prices are the correct prices going for the girls,do not pay anymore than the above.

Update on U2 :
I was invited there a few days ago with some high ranking officials, some have to go... Well the ground floor dancing was fully packed, only cambodian, some nice chicks, loud music. But definitly not the place I wanted to stay... I really would not like to get into trouble with one of the guys there, it smells danger !
However, we went to VIP KTV room; had some chicks coming, all cambodian. Some good looking but NO ATTITUDE at all, which is important for me. They just push the drinks, play card and try to get a good tip. Have not tried any FS as definitly not motivated and I am sure it is a big trap.
While there is a body check at the entrance (for any weapon), I am sure something bad will happen there i.e. a fu...g son of high ranking official upset by something - usually nothing but he has all the rights - will do a big mess and in that case, do not expect any help from U2 security...

The Red Piano is located right at the heart of SR so its very convenient. Most MPs, discos and night clubs are within short walking distance.
Haven't stayed there myself so don't know what's their guest policy.
