You hit the nail on the head here. If she does not want to go with him, or she is in front of co-workers, she might say 4000. Having this discussion 1-on-1 with her is much easier on the wallet, and you may find your cash outlay not that much different than a LT at a gogo. At least that is my experience.
And if you go with her a few times and she really likes you, there are ways for her to go with you without the barfine.
I think more of the Soi 33 girls have Thai boyfriends or husbands, as many do not have customers each night, so they have time. In one bar, I was told that about 70% had regular Thai boyfriends or husbands. I only point this out because this might be restrictive to LT, but not always.

Dropped by the Office Sunday night. Not many customers around and few ladies. Those ladies that were there that evening would not rate too high on the beauty scale.....but maybe thats because Sunday night wear is white shirt and jeans. But the TGs were certainly well mannered compared to what you might find in the Nana and Cowboy joints.

Barfined two nights ago from a Soi 33 bar. A gem of a girl, BK and I both agreed. This girl worked there just a few days, having come to work there from a "normal" non-p4p job. So a newbie to the barlife. Almost perfect, proper English. PerfectEnglishGirl came to Soi 33 to make more money. I was her first barfine. BK and I took her out for some drinks and good fun. She has not really learned the ways of a BG yet, hope she never will - but there is likely little chance of that happening. 
Barfine was 1300 baht, PerfectEnglishGirl gets 400 of that.
When I barfined PerfectEnglishGirl, I asked her if she wanted to quote me a price. She said "no, it is up to you, I think you have been in Bangkok long enough, you know the price". I treated her nicely and had a good time with her, and I paid her what I consider is the going rate and also what I have paid some other Soi 33 girls with no problems. 2000 baht. Sometimes I have paid less.
At times, when I have asked Soi 33 girls their price, I have been quoted 3000, 2000, 1500, etc. On rare occasions I have been quoted 4000 but I figured that the girl did not want to go with me, thus the high price quote.
When PerfectEnglishGirl got the 2000 baht in the morning, she said "the ladies in my bar told me the correct price is 3000 ST and 5000 LT". I correct her and I tell her that is NOT the normal price paid to girls on Soi 33, although I can certainly believe that some people have paid that (and maybe more). We talked about it a little bit. I told her about the other girls that I barfined and went with on Soi 33 and what I paid, and she believed me. I asked her if she wanted to go with me again, and she said yes. I guess she had a good time after all, and wasn't too concerned about the money I gave her. We'll see. I gave her 1300 baht for a future barfine and I will take her again on Friday. Paying her the barfine in advance allows me to just call her and have her come to see me at whatever time I like and I don't have to go into the bar, have her change clothes, etc.
So I guess the info here is that the new girls are being told that they'll get 5000 LT from a customer plus a share of the barfine. Perhaps they need to be corrected. I have asked a few people who I know have paid barfines on Soi 33, and a lot of them have paid 2000 LT. What are other people's pricing experiences? What have you been quoted, what have you paid, etc?

Good story CG. Can't remember the name of the bar but we have met up there before at the beginning of the night to begin the happy hour run along Soi 33. I spent 45 minutes or more making out with one of the girls and when I got ready to leave she asked about meeting me later that night. I asked her to meet me after the bar closed so no barfine and to let me know what she wanted for the night. She said up to me so I gave her the 2k bath figure which was fine. Had a great time and when she showed up at the hotel was dressed a lot nicer than your normal bargirl. Great experience.

Any bro's want to share the latest on which bars to visit and which ones to avoid ? I know several used to enjoy some bill padding, has anything changed ? Appreciate a brief update if anyone knows, looking to do a bit of a crawl before th Punchline show at the Bulls Head tonight. Thanks, M.

Meatywsg, Last week not busy was in Livingstones that was busy. All the bars as per avoid the first one on the left from the Suk that suks. Massage and beer or drinks whatever it's called not too hot on the massage me and a friend had poor experiences there. I would stick to Office, Mojo, Dali, never got to the S&M place but had a chat with some of the girsl while they took a meal break.
