I have hit the place twice in the last week. I like it you can get some food and the girls are nice but some of the other bars I think have cuter girls.
Was there the other night for one of the girls Birthday parties and had a great time. I walked in about a week ago and heard my name being called. She remembered me form over a year ago and invited me to her birthday party.
If they gave you there numbers I would assume they wouldn't mind you calling them or they wouldn't give you the numbers?
Only thing is they no longer were those cute little blue french caps (forgot the name) but the girl I was talking to went upstairs and got one for me so I could take a pic of her again like I did last year.
The owner seems nice also.

How do people keep confusing AVA bar with the majority of bars in soi 33, soi 33 is set up for people who dont mind paying for the a little extra for the not in your face sexuality yet comfort and class of the girls,
If Christie could get its act together and stop cheating every punter that walked through the door, until they have a policy stating they will not cheat anymore,i beleive everybody should boycott ths bar, otherwise the whole road willend up with the same reputation as as Ava. LET THE BOSS KNOW no more being ripprd off.

i hvae read this thread, but wanted to get an update on what are the best places to hit on my first trip to Soi 33...this is my thrid trip to BKK (mid february) and everytime I have spent mpst of my time at NEP...just walk around and go into any bar in Soi 33, or are ther 4 or 5 that are on top of the list...any help would be appreciated...cheers...

I will check out Renoir and the Office first. Renoir's bf is 1600 bahts and the Office is 1000-1200 depending on the time you bf.

In Renoir the Girl with PR on her sign wanted 2000 Bht for LT bar fine and 3000 for her own time. I said 1500 was the going rate at Soi 33. I had spoken with her for approx 2 Hrs and had a good time. She was very entertaining. After an Hr or so she bit my earlobe and wispered that she was telling me something, so the scene was set.
When she said Fine 2000 and I said no, its 1500 in this area, she turned very different, she really started to bitch about Nana and Patpong and that if I could not afford to come I should not come here etc, etc, I saw a different carachter comming out.
I said OK, and added 2000Bhat barfine to the bill, I laughted whilst paying and she asked me why I was laughting.
I then turned to her and explained that I had just barfined her and my decision was that she should stay there, not come with me as her character was truly no good. She was silenced.
What I did was silly really, I do not have to prove myself to her, I should ignore her bitching, and I should have called off the deal on that basis. I do not save on the penny when I am I LOS to have a good time, I rather save on other things.
Anyway, that's what I did - wasted 2000 Baht to get on top.
Stupid.
I barfined the girl serving drinks at Monet, a really nice girl without hostess dress from Udon. Her lovemaking shoved she is not a pro but she gave me the girlfriend experience I craved after the PR lady from Renoir.
Otherwise, I would say Renoir is a good place.

Can one of you guys who know Soi 33 very well give me an update of which bars are good, ok and to avoid.
I get the gist that Christies is one to stay away from.
I too will be visiting Soi 33 for the first time in February, probably after I come out of Sazanka.

Frank -- Was that girl tall and slim, with highlighted hair and wearing a bare midriff outfit? If so, I concur that she's got attitude problems.
I usually have more fun chatting with and buying drinks for the numerous bartenders in Renoir. Last time I beat four of them in Connect Four!

Agreed. I can't recall having a problem with bill padding in Christie's.
Happy hour is 80 baht for beer for customers, but lady drinks are still 160-180. The girl warned me beforehand.
I would agree, however, that the atmosphere elsewhere is better. Better themes, etc.
