Yes, I think that all of the bars in soi 33 encourage the girls to go with the customers or take a pay cut. Perhaps end of the month is a good time to get a bargain?

Any updates regarding Soi 33 as we enter 2011? I only did some minor exploring but I enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere and would like to return on my next visit.

Damned quiet on 33, which probably explains why there have not been any posts since Jan...
The biggest news is probably the relocation of Tenderloins from La Kris to the old Bacchus space next to Livingstones... a big improvement because the premises are larger and the kitchen has (mercifully) been enclosed so the place does not constantly smell of cooking oil and bbq smoke. No surprises reliable Aussie style eats, and a decent affordable wine list. Best for those who enjoy the constant roar of rugby and soccer on the tube....
Monet (one of the oldest old school bars on the strip) has also migrated, presumably for reasons of cost. It is now being bolted on beside Dali, which is a sister bar under the same ownership.
The word is slow.... fewer customers, fewer employee providers... this applies to every bar on the street, including Office. Same-oh same-oh, but less

Mind you, this is not a sudden new situation... I would say this decline in business dates back at least two years but was exacerbated by the Red Tide events.
A similar slowdown can be observed in Patpong, but I would say it is worse there...
