Regarding Udon just heard that there have been razzias by police at soi 7 probably more places at soi 2 and 3 as well.
No customers went into trouble. They took away all the laotian girls and left the thai-girls in the place. Foreign workers are not that popular so they have probably been sent back but the thai girls can stay in the brothels. No problem. Where is the logic ? After the razzia it was business as usual

....and now to Ubon where I went yesterday. Very dead compared to udon but nice place anyway. Regarding brothels there have been razzias and most places have been shut down. I was shown a couple with a few girls in each. Nothing to recommend. Changed Tuk tuk driver to be sure they told me the truth. Same story.
When they drove me around we came across some girliebars. Didnt check them out. But all in all a dead scene as I saw it.
Nevada disco worth checking out for freelancers.

Regarding Udon Thani, I see mention of Soi 7, I went for a look up there one night and found nothing. I gather I was in the right place, off Adunyadet Rd on the left just past 7/11. Can anyone give some specifics.

There were a few karaoke beer houses in Soi7 before and most of them have closed as I heard. But look hard they may probably be still open and look for some pimps standing outside a house as a sign.
