For pool players, Bangkok offers a good range of pool halls. Most pool halls have 9 ft pool tables. One nice feature of the pool bars here are that they are smoke free. The other feature is the rackers, and if you need to play with someone, just ask them to join you for a few games. Do tip them or buy them a few drinks. The tables are rented out on an hourly basis (pro-rated) unless you're on the challenge table, where you'd pay 20-25 B per game, and winner stays. Some bars may have "happy hour" prices, normally between 4pm to 6pm, the times do vary from bar to bar.
