This is hilarious. All you have to do is excersize to burn more calories than you take in, and it doesn't matter how you do it, to reduce the fat content in your body.

Most beer bellies are not fat though, they are the extension of your abs from reduced protein intake. Alcohol has no protein, and a distended belly is a result of reduced protein. You drink excesively, and forget to eat healthy.

Those that eat good, and drink don't have the belly problem.

Abdominal obesity, colloquially known as belly fat or clinically as central obesity, is the accumulation of abdominal fat resulting in an increase in waist size. There is a strong correlation between central obesity and cardiovascular disease.[1]

What that means is your beer gut is indeed fat....

Beer has a lot of calories and when you consume more calories then you can burn up, its stored as fat.

Men typically store fat around their midsection and women tend to store fat on their thighs and hips. Its not the alcohol which causes fat, its the calories.

If you drank say, voBKa-tonics instead, you wouldn't pack on the pounds like you would if you consumed a lot of beer or other drinks with lots of sugar.

But what koolbreeze is right about is exercise..

I walk about 50 kilometres a week in 4 big walks.

When you cut out beer and eat healthy the beer gut starts to disappear.

Even if you f*** up and drink beer on holidays you have achieved enough to be reckless for a week of whoring.

Sure the stomach muscles relax but it's fat no question that is hanging down.

WORST ADVICE!

It DOES matter how and what you do.

Time on treadmill or stationary bikes (where most people spend their times) is POINTLESS for losing weight. Free weights, or kettle bells, or anything to actively build muscle will help you achieve that faster (every pound of muscle consumes 2 pounds of fat, for example) - combine a workout with caloric restriction and you will see immeate, continuous results.

WORST, and DANGEROUSLY INACCURATE advice EVER!

The "extension" of the abs that you refer to is FAT, sitting underneath the muscle. The reason why dangerously misinformed people believe so, is because they can still beat on their abs, and they are "rock hard", and they feel the muscle. That is correct, as that *is* what you feel - the reason for this is simply that, in men, fat is generated and grows UNDERNEATH THE MUSCLE (while in women it does so above the muscle) - this sub-muscular fat sits exactly where you do NOT want it to be, wrapped around your organs.

That's why liposuction is an option for women (not a good option, mind you), and not for men - and why womens' blubber jiggles, and mens' not so much.

The beer belly is not some magical collection of 'super-abs' extensions. It's FAT, and specifically LOTS of it, and in some cases hardened fat, sitting on top of, and around, your organs.

You get rid of it by caloric restriction, and muscle building using weights or free-weights - another alternative is swimming, which works out multiple muscle groups via resistance and provides some aerobic benefits.

In my opinion as I have gone from 108kgs at 186cm to 89kgs and at one stage 84kgs you have to know that 70% of it is what you eat. I dont eat anything from a packet and no sugar products and am incredibly aware of my carbs. White bread and White rice put in the bin. Real Oats are fantastic. As best you can reduce your animal fat. As for exercise I think its a combination of weights and cardio. Weights are significant but try to do all body workouts and not single out muscle groups. As for cadrio I dont like being a hamster and running on a treadmill etc for an hour at an even base - doesnt work. If I am on my own I trun off the air conditioner and run for 2 hours - interval work - 3 days a week and it works. Alternatively the best cardio you will get is Insanity - go to teambeachbody and you will see. Crunches etc dont work and are a waste of time. As well fast for 3 days every 2 weeks and just drink protein shakes with peanut butter and a bannan ( 3 a day ) fruit and salad at night. You have to be incredibly moitvated and consistent and dont go for big weight losses. If it works, guarantee you will shag a hell of a lot better and more often.

Ps - stay off the beer !

The white bread thing is right...but how did you arrive at the brown rice thing?


I am tapping this on an I pad with the rear side of two small packaged ""sun rice 500 gram bags....one white and one brown.


The information on the back reads clearly....it says so that also on the front

White rice claims to be 99% fat free and the brown 97%

The info also clearly reads per gram one is less than the other.

Rice is that "Not" that fattening



And as for exercise.....trust me.

Walk 50 clicks a week and don't drink beer and eat right.

Your gut will metamorphosis into a smaller deal

It's not that rice has fat content (it doesn't, of course), but white rice apparently is non-nutritious, and whatever it does have, turns into sugar (the enemy of slim) - brown rice, apparently, doesn't. The best being GABA rice.

Avoiding alcohol is the best advice, though - it's just sugar that people drink, albeit most people are so addicted to their 'feeling' from alcohol, that they are too dumb to figure out that they are better off just drinking water.
