Just eliminating simple fast foods.....99% of the year helps.

( that's about 50 burgers with me)

Cutting out 75% of sweets after meals like Apple pie and ice cream or cake.

Shifting to low carb beer and drink only Half the yearly amount...or better less.

Removing a lot of bad fats......animal ones..buying meat trim.

No skin...more fish instead.

Walk a few hours weekly and eat a lot of fresh veggies and good fats like advocodoes.

I use A boxing bag daily to work out til I am sweaty and pumped up.

Weight training lightly in the home for just a few minutes adds to burn off.

A weekly swim.and a jog or two.

All it's about is removing big bags of sugar and fat and keep active.

Beer drinking when modified will assist greatly.

Think of yourself as a car....when its moving you get to burn off the fuel you put in it.......but if it's got a massive tank....then when you don't get out to burn off some car gets heavy.

You also have to take care of the parts

Sure, diet is very important. But exercise can do a lot. Say that you manage to increase your muscle mass by 5-6 kilos. That means 4-500 extra calories per day burnt by the muscles alone. even in rest. Add 30-40 minutes high intensity training per day alternating between weight training and cardio. This means between 300 and 400 calories per day plus 100 more due to increased metabolism by the HI. Now also add 30-40 minutes of low intensity aerobics, such as walking, jogging or swimming, around 250- 400 calories.

This means burning at least 1200 calories a day from exercise and muscle mass alone. Not mentioning the fabulous body toning which you don't get from diet alone.

About one year ago I tried to exercise to get rid of a little belly fat....working on computer all day long was starting to show

So I exercised a lot, changed my food habit and gained 8kg muscles in two month of hard exercise...did not loose ANY belly fat in the process but I was looking good

went to thailand, did not exercise because too busy and too hot for ONE month and loose ALL those newly acquired muscle in 4 weeks...disapointing and rather painfull (cramps in the back and arms)

Cant say I want to exercise more now...belly fat is still there despite my best effort

You didn't diet, and you gave your body no reason to consume the fat, and get rid of it.

There is one other way ""MadFrog" a final solution.

A way that works....no matter what...

A very desperate but sure fire end game.

RIP Beer Belly

It's radical....and I am not advocating it.

It's a personal choice for men who are hardcore enough to want to nuke a gut.

I have partially refrained til now mentioning it, as this section is health.

But given high risk affects of extra weight...I feel it might be an option.

It's the cast away diet.

You have $100 to feed yourself for 250 days.

That's it.

Seriously....

Before you even attempt it.....you must first be serious.

I have never done it.

But tried a demo and lost a few kilos fast.

How it works is you must embrace hunger.

No less than 2 days without any food....a week.

You shop...rice..tuna..pasta...beans..some canned fruit...greens in can.

Get what you want but that's all you have a hundred bucks.

It's an exercise in survival...discipline etc.

I had an uncle Pow and I remember he said food was not that important.

Humans don't die without food quick.

He says that a lunch box of food was all his men ate a week...less than 800 grams......or 1.8 pounds.

They got by.....sort of.

Imagine you walk into a supermarket and have just a hundred bucks to buy food for that 250 day period.?

What would you buy?

One shop...that's it

One thing is certain you will wipe out the gut.

Yeah, the POW diet...nice idea DG

I dont think I ll try it anytime soon, but sure it must work

My problem is that I have some fat on my belly...but I did NOT put on any extra weight....i was 72kg before (no belly) and now I m still 72 kg but have a little fat...
sound crazzy I know, I dont understand it
Also what I fail to understand is that I lost the 8kg muscles I gained during those two month of hardcore exercise, the mass IS gone, but the strenght is still there...i can still lift 25kg overhead with one hand...

I have difficulties understanding how your things add up MF.
You do need muscles - and thus mass - to lift those 25 kilos don't you? Also 8 kilos muscle gain is very respectable, and should translate into fat burn. Anyway 72 kilo would be very lightweight for me who is 188 cm tall so I should envy you.

Beer drinking is THE stupid thing to do, of course. Wine is much better (and nicer) even though the calorie count is high. Red wine has been shown to inhibit the creation of fat cells. Like dark chocolate does.

grimace level - pure blind explosive will power

I dont have those things... not an option for me...

I stand corrected... My stupid age excuse doesn't really work...

Mate, you have a better one for me now...? Excuse I mean...

Mick, here's your excuse: Your 90 kilos on 185 is better than my BMI. So you can stay in the comfort zone and enjoy it while I will be grimacing until I am 80 if I survive those squats.

One thing you might miss if you stay too comfortable would be the opium-like highs from intensive or endurance training. But then again you might prefer smoking the opium itself...

What I don't understand are those guys who prefer massive beer drinking before good sex.

bluber : I have difficulty understanding how those facts add up myself. I m 1.80 m, soon to be 40, vegetarian since 20 years, and no I m not really muscular, more like skinny arms and (a little) fat on the belly now...

The only book I used when I was exercising is "dinosaur training", so I can understand what you mean about going out of confort zone and such stuff.
One of my favorite exercise is to take a 40kg sandbag, to bearhug it and run around my house (stairs, grass, going up and down...) and do it until I collapsed....i m not the kind to go to a normal gym
