If you ask for a beer in Singapore, you will most likely get a dreadful pint of watered on, tasteless Tiger. Personally, I would prefer to drink a bucket of Ganges water.

A fairly authentic Belgian Brasserie with a wide variety of quality Belgian beers: Rocheforte, Chimay and even LaChouffe. Prices are accordingly, but at least you are paying for quality.
It felt just like home – except for the prices and the Indian waiter. But at least he knew how to pour a beer; which is considered an art form where I come from.

It seems that you missed Brewerkz on Clarke Quay. This is the only true microbrewery in Asia, has hand-pumped cask ale along with 8 other fresh selctions of beer/ale, and cheap prices.
A pint in the afternoon runs from SGD 3-5. The prices scale up from there as the night wears on. The beer/ale selection runs from yellow piss to black stout.
Their IPA has won several international beer competitions.
