Vincent Mason aka DJ Mase aka Maseo aka Plug 3 is best known as a founding member of legendary hip hop group, De La Soul. As the DJ backbone to one of the most important groups in hip hop history, Maseo has been integral is maintaining the true hip hop aesthetic through countless releases and collaborations. In the late 80’s and early 90’s Maseo and De La Soul formed the Native Tongues collective with like-minded acts such as A Tribe Called Quest and The Jungle Brothers. In 1989, De La Soul released their first album, “3 Feet High and Rising” to critical acclaim and platinum sales. Since their initial release, De La Soul has continued to play a prominent role in the music industry releasing six additional albums, always staying true to their original vision of what hip hop is and should always be. During the course of their long-standing career, De La Soul has received a multitude of accolades and awards including a Grammy as well as their very own limited edition Nikes.
